About Ad Tech

Traditonally when Worfolk Online was first getting started we replied on 3rd party websites and organisations to supply our advertisements and in some cases we still do. However this came with several inherant problems which led to a very unproductive environment.

Case study: Advert Wizard was an advertising network which rewarded its users with a banner exchange and cash reward program. However in 2002, Advert Wizard went into liqudiation. Due to the size of the Worfolk Online network we were left with thousands of pages with Advert Wizard code in which was useless and needed replacement.

We also had similar experiance with other companies and soon relised we needed a page or site to serve all our ads so that if code modifcations were needed they could be made at the central ad server rather than on a one site at a time basis.

And so on Sunday the 29th of June 2003, Worfolk Online established AdTech to begin building our ad server. We had been planning such a scheme for some time however on this date we began the creation of this site and the implimentation of the system.
