Ad Serving

As well as serving our own ads we also still use 3rd party ad serving. However most code is now stored on this serving. So each site requests the code from our ad serving site each time an ad is served. The example below shows how ads may be served on FallenNation.com, a site in our network.

1. Someone visits the site
When someone arrives on a page on the site an ad request is sent from the site to AdTech telling it that someone is on the page and an add should be served.

2. The request is processed
Each site has a unique ID code which identifies the site from others on the network. This is then selected from the database and AdTech picks out the type of ad that should be served.

3. The ad code is selected
Once the site and its type has been identifed AdTech then picks out the ad serving code applicable to the ad that the requesting site should be serving.

4. The ad is displayed
The correct code is sent to the page and the ad is served.
